Pet Vaccination Requirements

Get Your Pet Vaccinated Before Appointments

Abigail's Waggin' Tails Pet Lodging & Grooming requires three, vet administered vaccinations prior to any appointment or reservation at our facility for DOGS. These include boarding, grooming, spa day, or doggy daycare. They are the following:

1. Bordetella (formerly called Canine Kennel Cough) vaccine: The Bordetella vaccine is very important when your dog is boarded, attends doggy daycare, spa days or grooming. This vaccine needs to be given two weeks prior before their appointment or reservation, if vaccine has lapsed. We require Bordetella to be given once a year minimum.
2. DHLPP: This combination vaccine protects dogs against Distemper, Adenovirus type 1 (Hepatitis), Adenovirus type 2 (respiratory), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. Along with Bordetella, this vaccine should be given two weeks prior to appointment or reservation, if vaccine has lapsed.
   
3. Rabies: The Rabies vaccine is mandated by state law and required every 1 or 3 years, depending on veterinarian and age of dog.
   

Puppy Vaccination Details

If your dog is still very young, please be aware that before coming to our facility, all rounds of vet administered puppy shots must be administered 14 days prior to any appointment or reservation.

Check with your vet to ensure all shots have been given.

Feline Vaccinations

Cat vaccination requirements include Rabies and FVRCP. (This vaccine covers feline

rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia)
