Pet Vaccination Requirements

Get Your Pet Vaccinated Before Appointments

Abigail's Waggin' Tails Pet Lodging & Grooming requires three, vet administered vaccinations prior to any appointment or reservation at our facility for DOGS. These include boarding, grooming, spa day, or doggy daycare. They are the following:

1. Bordetella (formerly called Canine Kennel Cough) vaccine: The Bordetella vaccine is very important when your dog is boarded, attends doggy daycare, spa days or grooming. This vaccine needs to be given two weeks prior before their appointment or reservation, if vaccine has lapsed. We require Bordetella to be given once a year minimum.
2. DHLPP: This combination vaccine protects dogs against Distemper, Adenovirus type 1 (Hepatitis), Adenovirus type 2 (respiratory), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. Along with Bordetella, this vaccine should be given two weeks prior to appointment or reservation, if vaccine has lapsed.
   
3. Rabies: The Rabies vaccine is mandated by state law and required every 1 or 3 years, depending on veterinarian and age of dog.
   

Puppy Vaccination Details

If your dog is still a young puppy, please note that we cannot accept puppies until they are fully vaccinated for ALL of the vaccines listed above, with NO boosters left to receive. This means all vaccine series are complete, and all required vaccines have an expiration date of at least one year from the date given. Typically, the soonest that that these can all be completed is by 16 weeks of age. 

Feline Vaccinations

Get your cat vaccinated for Rabies (One year or three year vaccine accepted.) and

FVRCP (This vaccine covers feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.).
